Helen Butler MBE, from the Wight Squirrel Project, will be at Utilita in Newport on Saturday 19th September from 9.30am to 3pm.
Anyone who has seen a squirrel on the Island can report it to her there. Questions are welcome too.
Free gifts and signed books
Visitors can pick up free fridge magnets, bookmarks, leaflets and newsletters. The project will also sell books and other squirrel-themed gifts, which it is pitching as Christmas presents.
Prints by local artist Kate Hobart are among them. Helen Butler will sign books on the day.
Volunteer wanted
The project is looking for someone to promote its work on Facebook, Instagram and other social media.
It says anyone who loves red squirrels and is keen on social media could fit the bill.
