NFU Mutual Isle of Wight will donate to Mountbatten with every new policy

Last updated:

NFU Mutual Isle of Wight is proud to launch a powerful new community partnership with Mountbatten Isle of Wight – the Island’s only hospice and the lead provider of palliative and end‑of‑life care for the local community.

Mountbatten Isle of Wight provides care and support for people living with, affected by, or curious about death, dying and bereavement across the Isle of Wight.

Partnership launched
From 1st April to 30th September 2026, NFU Mutual Isle of Wight will donate £10 from its business pot to the Hospice for every new policy local to Isle of Wight that starts during this period.

This means each policy purchased becomes more than protection; it becomes a meaningful contribution that helps Mountbatten continue delivering its essential care and wellbeing services to Island residents facing life‑limiting illness.

For over forty years, Mountbatten has delivered expert, person‑centred support through a wide range of free services. These include inpatient care, 24/7 community services, day services, rehabilitation and bereavement support, all focused on helping people live well through their illness, not only at the end of life.

Care for thousands of Islanders
Charlotte Hornblow, Community Fundraising Lead at Mountbatten Isle of Wight, said,

“Mountbatten cares for more than 2,500 Islanders on any given day, both in its 16‑bed inpatient unit in Newport and in people’s homes across the Island. They work closely with GPs, hospitals, community teams and voluntary sector partners, ensuring seamless care across clinical, emotional and practical needs.

“As a charity bearing the majority of its own costs, Mountbatten relies heavily on partnerships such as that with NFU Mutual Isle of Wight, as well as donations, fundraising, local partners, and community support to continue its extraordinary work.”

Helping making every moment matter
John Heather, Senior Agent at NFU Mutual New Forest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth, added,

“We are delighted to support Mountbatten through this initiative. Their compassionate and highly specialised care provides comfort and dignity to so many people in our community.

“By donating £10 for every new policy with an inception date between 1st April to 30th September 2026, we hope to help Mountbatten continue making every moment matter for local families.”

Supporting the Island community
NFU Mutual Isle of Wight has long been woven into the fabric of its local communities. With a long‑standing commitment to supporting local causes and charities, the team works closely with families, businesses and organisations across the Island.

By championing organisations that make a meaningful difference, NFU Mutual Isle of Wight continues to uphold the values that have shaped their presence within the Island community for many years.
