Today, the Chale, Niton & Whitwell By-Election is taking place.
There are three candidates standing – Josh Cooper, Malcolm Groves and Dave Stewart – will be running for a place on the Isle of Wight council.
You may remember that we did an interview with Josh Cooper, as he was the first 18 year old candidate that we had heard of running on the Island in recent times.
The weather obviously isn’t ideal today, but remember it’s not just today that you’re voting for, it’s the next three years, or so.
Location of polling stations
The polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm and are located at:
- Chale W.I. Hall, Church Place, Chale
- Niton Methodist Church Hall, Newport Road, Niton
- Whitwell Parish Church, Kemming Road, Whitwell
Count and results
Counting will start as soon as the polls close and the result is expected to be announced at around 11pm.
VentnorBlog will bring you the result as soon as we hear.
