If you know of a building, open space or public art project on the Isle of Wight that you feel deserves recognition, why not nominate it for the 2011 Civic Trust Awards?
Five years ago the excellent Brading Roman Villa won the Civic Trust Rural Design Award for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We hear today that the IW council are keen for designers, architects, planners and members of the public to consider nominations and get the Island recognised for excellence in the areas of architecture, planning, townscape and infrastructure.
Make your nomination
Has something been built or created recently that you feel deserves an award? How about the excellent Gribble seats produced by Ecclestone George?
If so, all you have to do is register your entry on the
Civic Trust Awards Website.
Entries need to be made by designers, so if you’re a member of the public you’ll need to email the organisers ([email protected]) and the awards team will contact the designer to encourage them to make an entry.
Cllr George Brown, Isle of Wight Council Cabinet Member responsible for Planning said: “The Island is home to some very good examples of architecture and planning and I would like to encourage people to nominate schemes they feel worthy of a Civic Trust Award.”
