Following the publication of the 2013 Review of Parliamentary constituency boundaries, Isle of Wight MP, Andrew Turner, has revealed that he is not prepared to discuss which seat he would stand for in the 2015 elections.
The proposal being put forward by the Boundary Commission is to create two constituencies, one that they label North, and the other, South.
Andrew Turner said, “I will be the MP for the whole of the Island until the next election and I do not think it would be helpful to speculate about whether I will stand for one seat or the other.”
Selection process starts late 2013
He went on to say, “I can confirm that I do intend to stand at the next election, but I will not be making any further plans until the selection processes begin; that will probably be towards the end of 2013 because the proposals will not go before Parliament until then.
“Until the next election I will continue to serve the whole of the Island to the best of my ability.”
