If you’re into creative writing, it’s not too late to enter an Isle of Wight writing competition.

All can enter
There are three categories; under 12s, who need to write up to 750 words (£2 per entry); under 18s also need to do up to 750 words (£2 per entry) and adults who need to write a bit more, between 1,500 – 2,000 words (£4 per entry).

The closing date for the competition is 22nd November with winners being announced on 21st December at a reception in Newport.

Authors present awards
Making the awards in December will be three major authors.

Pauline Rowson will be presenting the adult prize winner awards. Diana Kimpton will hand out adult prizes and awards. And it’s hoped that Wendy Harris will present the teenage awards and prizes.

All proceeds from the entries will be going split between three charities, Love Russia, The Multiple Sclerosis Society and The Barely Born Appeal.
