Number 3 bus assault: Police hunt for two men in connection with disturbing crime (updated)

Update: Following publication of the appeal Police confirm they’ve have now identified the two people pictured in the CCTV images (so photos removed).

Police are appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault that was reported on a bus between Ventnor and Shanklin.

The incident happened on the afternoon of Thursday 20th April on the number 3 bus.

A woman in her 20s was sat at the back of the bus and was joined by two men she did not know.

One of the men – described as white with tanned skin, around 6ft tall, aged in his 40s with black hair and a black jacket – made inappropriate comments to the woman and touched her over her clothing.

As part of enquiries, we would like to hear from anyone who was on the bus that afternoon between 2pm and 3pm, and in particular we are keen to identify the two men pictured who may have valuable information to assist us.
