Why so few from the Isle of Wight? I would have thought that the Island leg would have seen the torch carried by Islanders!

Anyone else fancy joining me in running behind with a pitchfork shouting “Burn the witches!!”

daft old duffer

A brilliant idea
I would like to take this opportunity to suggest two Isle Of Wight inspired Olympic events –
1 Long distance Mangel Knurdling
2 Time-trial Witch Floating

“Olympic Torch Holders’ names revealed”? Why call it Hattie Gould etc. Just call it a torch holder.

another margaret

At least we have a worthy torchbearer in Sheila Ingram from East Cowes, who sounds like a fantastic person who has devoted her life to caring for others (and is still doing so aged 74). Unfortunately she appears to be running her leg in Newport so come on East Cowesers, get down there on the day and cheer her on!
