Saturday 28th March sees the return of World Autism Awareness Day.
To mark the event, the largest rally to date takes place in London to raise awareness of this ever increasing condition that affects millions of families around the world.
The increase in rates of those affected by autism is astonishing.
In 1966 only one in 2,222 suffered with the condition.
By 1979 it increased to 1 in 149
By 1993 it was 1 in 141
By 1994 it was 1 in 110
and by 2009 it is now 1 in a 100.
