On Saturday evening just under 300 guests flocked to Newclose Cricket Ground to attend the annual Prince & Princess Ball in aid of Island Charities.

This year’s benefactors were Daisychains IW, Kissypuppy – The Sophie Rolf Trust, YMCA IW Young Carers Service and the YMCA Counselling service.

Help from sponsors
Newclose very kindly donated the use of their marquee and Personalize once again donated their time and skills to dress the marquee to a very high standard.

The Isle of Wight branch of Novum Law sponsored a P&O Cruise and also the printing.

Donations of cakes, sweets and items to raffle came in from many Island businesses as well some larger donations from Legoland, Eurostar and the RAF Red Arrows.

The Ella Sheppard School of Dance entertained the guests before and after dinner with singing and dancing to Beauty and the Beast and Mary Poppins.

Over £4,300 raised
The event managed to raise £4,308 which will be split equally between the four charities.

Michaela White said,

“We are truly grateful for all support received on the night. Once again the event proves how much support the Island community gives to our local causes and without them there would be no event. A huge thanks to everyone who was involved in the event and making it such memorable night.”
