The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust celebrates another successful year with the charity working with record numbers of young people in recovery from cancer.
Thanks to Players of People's Postcode Lottery, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is set to receive a highly-specialised yacht to further improve the experience for young people with mobility issues after treatment for cancer.
A whopping £29,788.84 was recently presented by JP Morgan Bournemouth employees to the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust after raising the funds during the Round the Island Race in July.
Last week at the Southampton Boat Show, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust received the keys to their new, specially adapted yacht. The yacht is now well on her way to Largs and should arrive in the next three days.
The new yacht will allow the Isle of Wight based Trust to better support young people from the North of England and Scotland with mobility issues resulting from their cancer treatment.
The longer-term emotional and psychological effects of cancer can be complicated for young people. That's where the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust can, and does, help.
