Readers will have read previously on VB about the proposed housing development on the Pan Estate in Newport, dubbed Super Pan.
News reaches us today that the Super Pan moniker can be dropped as a new name has been voted and agreed upon.

Before you start wondering which council official came up with the natty title, this one went out to a public vote.
Residents of the estate chose it as their favourite from a list of option, during a recent consultation.
Leader of the Isle of Wight council, David Pugh, said
“I think the name is very appropriate given that it reflects the rural feel we are all trying to achieve in this development.
“It also maintains the name Pan which again is important because we are keen to fully integrate the new homes with the existing Pan community.”
