An enterprising Island company is thinking of taking up an idea proposed by ‘Steve & Jane’ on the VentnorBlog of the 3rd of February this year (Southern Vectis To Replace Tourist Info Centres)
Loo on the move
The plan is to tour the Island with specially converted ‘Lavatory Buses’, halting at certain designated sites at regular times in order to serve the needs of holidaymakers and locals alike.
The service will be well advertised and season tickets will be available, as will the possibility of block bookings.
An extension of this idea also being investigated is for touring coaches with loos arranged in place of seating. With these, tourists with incontinent concerns will be able to cruise the Island, enjoying the scenery, in relaxed comfort.
“Now there exists the possibility of the elderly being able to travel quite long distances without worry,” a company spokepersonwoman explained.
