The much anticipated demonstration by Professor Luce-Planc of his walk-on-water device was held at the Waterside Pool yesterday.
Unfortunately, it proved to be of only limited success. The Professor himself managed to walk the length of the pool without mishap.
But when the Council Leader tried he ended by having to swim to the side, much to the detriment of his Armani suit.
He took it all in good part however, despite clearly being disappointed.
“I’ve always wanted to walk on water,” he confessed ruefully.
