Pet Swimathon – Help Needed

Dave and Vav Simon from the Isle of Wight Natural Therapy Centre for Animals are planning to hold a Swimathon for Pet Awareness Month on 14th April.

DAD'S Pet CareThe aim of the swimathon is to raise awareness of responsibilities to pets and to raise funds for National Pet Awareness Month, and the Friends of the Animals & Greyhound Rescue charities who have Island branches.

It will involve 16 dogs to swim for as long as possible (aiming for 26 minutes), counting each minute swum as a mile towards a Marathon, which is roughly the same exertion. They hope to get each dog sponsored for as much as possible for each ‘mile’.

They are currently looking for sponsorships and celebrities to come and help out.

So, if you’re famous or know someone who is and want to help, please get in touch with Dave on 01983 614795 or email him at (dave @ ntc-animals dot co dot uk).

They need lots of help on this one and it’s all in a good cause – so please put your thinking caps on and let them know if you can help. [Many thanks to DAD’S Pet Care for use of the excellent image]
