Police have released a photo of the 82 year old man from the Freshwater area who died tragically last Friday evening after a collision with a white Ford Courier van.
Gerry Webb had served for many years in the RAF, as well as being a primary school teacher until his retirement at the age of 70.
He died after the collision and becoming trapped under the van. The driver, a 75 year old man from Freshwater was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
