The Trueman family have a long history of living and working in Ventnor, and Lucy Trueman, born in 1876, left behind a wonderful collection of family photographs taken in the late 1890s.
‘A Victorian Family in Ventnor’ is a rare collection and can be viewed in Ventnor Library in an atmosphere of Victorian comfort.
The Friends are grateful to the surviving descendants of Lucy’s family for the privilege of exhibiting these photographs.
Please come along and see this engaging piece of history.
