Picnic in the park: Ventnor Town Council and Carnival organise a regal bash for King Charles III’s coronation

Ventnor Carnival and Ventnor Town Council are organising a celebration Picnic in the Park on 8th May from 12 noon until 4pm to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.

The free event will include performances from The Exchange Community Choir, Greg Barnes, Rev. Hugh Wright, The Island Free School Choir, Mr Baker’s Dozen, Sionna Madden, Dance Vibez and Richard Mullin and Drummers.

There will also be free circus skills workshops, vintage ice cream van and refreshments at Tee in the Park.

Not forgetting a children’s Fancy Dress Competition that will take place at 3.20pm and a presentation of Ventnor’s Carnival Queens.

All funds raised will support Ventnor Carnival. Join us and celebrate the coronation of King Charles III Ventnor style.

Ventnor Mayor, Steph Toogood said,

“Ventnor Town Council are pleased to be supporting this event which will bring together our community in celebration of the coronation.

“I hope you will be able to join us on Monday 8th May for the picnic and support our amazing Carnival.”
