Platform One backs national drive for diverse talent in Creative Industries: Book for Inside The Industry event

Following a run of successful events last year, Platform One have announced the continuation of their Inside The Industry events this November.

The event, which discusses career pathways and experiences with Platform One Alumni, takes place on Tuesday 14th November at Quay Arts as part of Discover! Creative Careers Week.

Larger and more diverse intake of talent
The industry-led programme is working on a national level to ensure there is a larger and more diverse intake of talent via a broader range of routes into the creative industries.

As the leading music education organisation on the Isle of Wight, Platform One are supporting the initiative that directly addresses the creative economy.

Guests for this event include Songwriter and Producer, Jake Stimson, Creative Assistant at No Sheet Music, Bethan Smith, Drummer and entrepreneur, Ali Copping and local musician, Bethan John.

Booth: Inspire, educate and inform
Platform One’s Music Industry Liaison, Andy Booth, says,

“The Inside The Industry event will aim to inspire, inform and educate those who wish to understand more about career pathways in the creative industries.

“Learning from those who have experienced the journey via music education and now have full time employment is relatable for those wanting a similar outcome.”

This is event is open to the public and places are free but they must be claimed in advance. These can be booked via Ticketsource and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Doors will open at 6:30pm with the event starting at 7pm.
