OnTheWight in conversation with artist Tommy Brentnall at the No Ordinary Town exhibition at Quay Arts in November 2025.
Tommy discusses his exhibition, which explores the future of Sandown through a collaboration with Boojum and Snark. The project involved a month-long residency, workshops, and community engagement. Tommy’s work features pastel drawings of boats and futuristic characters, inspired by Sandown’s culture and environmental concerns. He envisions a future where humans coexist with rewilded environments and non-human democracy. The exhibition also includes risograph prints created during workshops, reflecting local political and environmental issues.
