Police appeal after boat stolen from Yarmouth Harbour

Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for information following the theft of a RIB (rigid Inflatable boat) from Yarmouth Harbour.

LogoThe boat was taken from the dinghy pontoon sometime between Saturday, July 6 and Saturday, July 20 when the owner made the discovery.

The white Avon 4.2 metre RIB and outboard motor are valued at approx £3000.

PC Jeff Rogers of Yarmouth police station said:

“The RIB is white with a grey cover at the front and has a 15 HP Mariner outboard engine.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at Yarmouth Harbour during those dates or saw someone leaving with the stolen boat to contact me at Yarmouth Police Station via 101.”
