Appeal for witnesses following serious injury collision in Shanklin

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious injury collision in Shanklin this morning.

Officers were called at around 11.33am to reports that a car was in collision with a pedestrian on Languard Manor Road.

Serious injuries
The vehicle, a red Renault Megane cabriolet was travelling towards the High Street in Shanklin when it collided with a man.

The pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 80s, suffered a serious head and chest injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He is currently in a stable condition.
