Police Appeal After Reported Assault At Bogeys

Police TapeA report of an assault in a nightclub on the Isle of Wight is prompting a police appeal for witnesses.

It’s alleged a 27-year-old man from Sandown on the island was assaulted by another man while they were at the bar of Colonel Bogeys on Culver Parade in the town.

Victim taken to hospital
The victim was knocked to the floor and received injuries to his face during the assault, which happened sometime between 11.50pm on Saturday, December 24 and 1am on Sunday, December 25, 2011.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not believed to be life threatening.
