Police Appeal For Final Sightings of Murder Victim, David Guy

Following our article on Monday about the sad death of David Guy, this update through from the Police, in their own words. Ed

David Guy:A murder victim’s next-of-kin are releasing a personal photograph with police in a fresh appeal for information about his last known movements.

Detectives from Hampshire Constabulary’s Major Investigation Team (HMIT) are continuing to investigate the death of David Matthew Guy, aged 30, from Southsea.

Last movements and whereabouts
Detective Chief Inspector Dick Pearson of the Hampshire Major Investigation Team (HMIT) said: “Although we have charged a suspect with murder, one important line of enquiry is to establish David Guy’s last known movements and whereabouts when he was alive.

“Specialist officers are working closely with next-of-kin to keep them informed and provide support at this exceptionally difficult time. Mr Guy’s family have kindly supplied a photograph of David, which we are publishing as part of a fresh appeal for information. Hampshire Constabulary is grateful for their co-operation in such upsetting circumstances.

“We are appealing to anyone who thinks they saw David Guy between Saturday, June 30 and Monday, July 2. Even the briefest sighting or smallest piece of information could prove significant to our enquiries.”

Mr Guy was described as:

> White
> 5 ft 6 ins tall
> Slight build with brown unkempt hair.

> He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt with blue horizontal stripes (untucked), blue jeans, and black shoes or trainers
