Police appeal for sightings of missing New Forest woman

Police today made an urgent appeal for information about a woman who left her New Forest home on Saturday, April 20.

Joanna:They also issued a photograph of missing Joanna McQuillan, 39, who was last seen outside the Potters Heron Hotel at Ampfield at about 3pm Tuesday, April 23.

She arrived at the hotel on Saturday, April 20. When last seen, she was carrying a Bible, but she apparently did not return to her room and left her personal possessions behind.

Her car was left at her Bartley home, where she appears to have abandoned her dog. Joanna has not been in contact with her family, and her phone has not been used since April 20.

Description
Ms McQuillan is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall and slim with long, blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen, she was wearing a beige top, blue jeans and black knee-high boots.

Detectives today appealed to Joanna to contact police at Southampton and asked for information from anyone who has seen her since Tuesday.

They described her disappearance as totally out of character because she always has maintained close contact with her family. She has not responded to an appeal on Facebook.

One detective said: “We are increasingly concerned for her welfare and appeal to Joanna to make contact with us as a matter of some urgency.”
