Police called to two separate incidents of bodies being discovered in Isle of Wight cemeteries

Police have confirmed that two separate incidents involving bodies being found in separate cemeteries are not being treated as suspicious.

Police were called at 8.31am on Saturday 26th March following the discovery of a body of a man in his 50s near St Mary’s Church in Church Road, Cowes.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Another man’s body discovered
Later that morning Police were called (11.51am) after the body of an 81-year-old man was found at Mount Joy Cemetery, Whitcombe Road, Carisbrooke.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
