Red Jet Service leaving Southampton

Supply chain issues hinder return of Red Jet 4 and result in revised timetable

Red Funnel customers who use the high-speed service between Cowes and Southampton are subject to further disruption this week, as supply chain issues affect the repair and return of Red Jet 4 to service.

Leanna Lakes, Operations Director at Red Funnel, explains,

“As a result of ongoing engine repair works to Red Jet 4, we need to temporarily extend our revised Red Jet timetable until Wednesday 30th March.

“Like many businesses across the UK, we’ve been experiencing supply chain issues, including prolonged delivery of essential parts. The team, supported by our marine contractors, are doing their absolute best to resume our normal Red Jet timetable as quickly and as safely as possible.

“We apologise for any difficulties this may cause to customer journeys and would like to thank them for their patience during this time. We encourage customers to plan ahead by checking the live departures on our website. Customers may also consider using our vehicle ferries as an alternative option, which are currently running to full timetable.”
