Police Investigate Alleged Assault In East Cowes

Hampshire Constabulary LogoPolice are appealing for witnesses after an assault was reported in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Officers are making enquiries after it’s alleged a young man stole money and a mobile phone from a woman aged in her early 20s.

The man and woman had been travelling on a Southern Vectis bus between the Prince of Wales pub in York Avenue and the floating bridge in East Cowes between 1.20pm and 2pm on Friday, January 14, 2011.

Anyone who remembers seeing an argument between a young man and young woman either on the bus or in the area of the Floating Bridge in East Cowes is asked to contact police by phoning 101 or 0845 045 45 45.
