Police Investigate Verbal Abuse Between Football Fans On Ferry

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of a dispute involving football fans on a ferry from Southampton to West Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Officers are investigating allegations of threats and verbal abuse between Southampton and Birmingham City supporters on the 6.45pm Red Funnel Red Jet sailing from Southampton on Sunday, September 18, 2011.

There are also reports of the dispute continuing into the Red Jet terminal at West Cowes as fans were leaving the ferry.
