Police issue reassurance over Culver Cliff incident (Updated)

We were called at 8.46am this morning to Culver Cliffs at Culver Down in Sandown, Isle of Wight following concerns raised regarding a woman’s welfare.

Specialist officers have been deployed and are currently on scene with the woman.

We would like to reassure residents and visitors that there is no wider risk to the public at this time.

Please patient while we deal with this incident.

Police confirmed – happily – that this incident has now been resolved safely.
