Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed the death of a 76-year-old man whose body was found near the shoreline at East Cowes at 2.32pm on Thursday, September 5.
He was identified as Roy Daish of Medina Park, Whippingham, Isle of Wight.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file has been passed to the coroner.
