Tribute from family
Paying tribute, Mr Parr’s family said: “Andrew had a great zest for life, participating in sport diving, sailing, parachuting, surfing and hiking. He also swam the Solent for charity, and enjoyed playing guitar (very loudly).
“He worked for Neutrik, and then became a factory manager at Patricks Engineering. More recently he spent some time as a lecturer at the Isle of Wight College, before moving to GKN Aerospace at a project team leader pioneering fuel saving turbine blades.
“Andrew, the much loved son of Rose Jeffery and Robin Parr, brother to Tony, David, Nigel and Michael will be sorely missed by all his family and all who knew him. He was also adopted dad to Olly Williams.”
