Police name woman who died in Yarmouth road collision

Police are now in a position to release the name of a woman who died in a collision in Yarmouth on Friday evening.

She was Rachel Titley, 28, of St Saviours Road, Totland.

At 9.38pm, October 11, Rachel was driving a blue Daihatsu Quore westbound on the A3054 when it was in collision with a red Citroen Xsara heading in the opposite direction.

Rachel was taken to hospital but subsequently died of her injuries.

Paying tribute to her, her parents John and Christine and family said:

“Our unique Rachel. Special in every way. Loved by everyone whose life she touched.”

The 26-year-old man driving the Citroen was treated for his injuries and later released from hospital.

Police appeal for witnesses
Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle driving prior to it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Andy Lynch at the Road Death Investigation team on 101 quoting Operation Bach.
