What is it about the growing of cannabis that, according to the police, it is done in a “factory” ?

Are the police now tasked with adding spin to their reports to make the discovery of plants, which a significant minority of Island residents find no more threatening than tomatoes, into something sensational ?

a factory is somewhere that produces a product. so, i think that discription is accurate. as for sensationalising it, if the police publisising this makes someone else think twice before doing likewise, then good. The significant minority you mention is just that, a minority. Its illegal to grow cannabis and distribute it. Maybe it should be legalised, but its not at the moment, and so the police… Read more »

The majority don’t…its the Polices job to catch Lawbreakers, not make the laws.

let’s hope it was premium quality cannabis.

there’s nothing worse than turning up at a `factory` to buy some cannabis and having to walk away with a poor-quality smoke!!

BTW
“I know of no plant that would ever be reasonably be considered to be grown in a factory”

i think quite a lot of horticultural produce is now grown in factory-like huge enclosures.
