On Tuesday 26th June, Waterstones in Newport will be paying host to six very talented poets from Portsmouth, including Maggie Sawkins (pictured).
I recently attended one of their regular gatherings under the collective title ‘Tongues and Grooves‘, I was astounded by the variety of styles and the high quality of the poets performing.
I would challenge anyone not to become utterly absorbed in their words. Do come along and enjoy an evening of poetry.
