Still not decided where to go tomorrow night? How does a night of music from the 80s and 90s grab you?
If it has you saying “yes, yes, yessss” [source: When Harry Met Sally], you’ll be wanting to head to the Powerhouse NYE Party at House of Legends in Newport.
Dress up from your era is the message, but will you be going for the Frankie Says Relax t-shirt or the Acid House one?
A free glass of bubbly will greet you on arrival and should ‘relax’ you for the dance-off competition. This and the fancy dress competition could bag you some Shakira or Carling Cup tickets.
As well as the best of 80s and 90s music, Island band The Operators will be playing live during the evening.
There’ll be fireworks from the roof top, but you don’t need to worry about getting cold outside watching them, video screens inside the venue will ensure you can enjoy the show from the warmth of the bar during the countdown to midnight.
Tickets for Powerhouse NYE Party are £6 in advance (£10 on the door) from House of Legends, Allo (Upper St James’ St, Newport) or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (High St, Newport).
Oh and if you’re dining that evening, entry is free.
