Property needed for interpreters as British troops withdraw from Afghanistan

The Isle of Wight could be home to an Afghan family, in need of safety, if a property can be found.

There is grave concern for the Afghan interpreters and staff who have been employed by the British Government, as troops withdraw from Afghanistan at the end of August. Afghans who worked for foreign troops or governments face a huge risk of retaliation from the Taliban.

Former interpreters and their families
Under the expanded Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP) the government said 3,000 former interpreters and their families would be allowed to settle in the UK.

Landlords with a property that they could make available to the scheme can find out more by contacting [email protected]  or call 01983 524058.
