Members of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce are welcome to go along to an early evening meeting with the Performing Rights Society (PRS) tonight.
The PRS want people running self-catering holiday accommodation to pay them a fee for making radio, TV or CD players available to those who rent holiday properties (background).
We chatted to the Chamber’s Zoe Stroud about how the meeting came about and she explained that they’d noticed the PRS’s suggestion and had asked them to come to the Island to pass on details directly to the Chamber’s member that would be affected.
Representatives from the PRS will be coming along to explain their thinking behind it, detailing fees that they’re expecting and answering any questions.
It’s starting at 5pm at Joe’s in Newport, but please contact the IW Chamber of Commerce if you would like to attend.
As always, don’t forget to say where you heard about it.
