Bestselling psychological suspense author Heidi Perks will appear at Medina Bookshop on Tuesday 2nd June at 7pm to discuss her gripping new novel, It Ends Here, a thriller set on the Isle of Wight and published by Penguin Books.
An Isle of Wight setting at its heart
In a special evening event, Heidi will be in conversation with Medina Bookshop manager Paul Armfield, exploring the inspiration behind the novel, the challenges and pleasures of writing suspense fiction, and the unique atmosphere of the Isle of Wight as a setting for dark and compelling storytelling.

Heidi Perks has become one of the UK’s most successful contemporary thriller writers, earning widespread acclaim for her tense, emotionally astute novels. Her breakout bestseller Now You See Her became an international sensation, translated into multiple languages and shortlisted for major crime-writing awards.
She was also selected as a Richard and Judy Book Club author, cementing her reputation as one of the leading voices in contemporary psychological suspense. Since then, she has built a devoted readership with a string of bestselling novels praised for their sharp psychological insight, twisting plots, and vividly drawn characters.
From international bestseller to Island Harbour
With the action focused almost entirely in the Island Harbour between Newport and Whippingham, Heidi has drawn on the landscapes, atmosphere, and close-knit coastal communities of the Isle of Wight to create the vividly realised setting of It Ends Here, making this a particularly exciting event for local readers and thriller fans alike.
The evening promises an engaging discussion about crime writing, publishing success, and the enduring influence of place on storytelling.
