A Delegated decision Report was issued today, confirming the council’s plans to dispose of Puckpool Lodge for £172,000.
The council received two offers for the grade II listed building that sits within the Puckpool Park scheduled monument, which is managed by English Heritage.
One was for £176,000 but was subject to a mortgage and survey. The other was for £172,000 not subject to a survey and proof of cash available was given.
Lower offer less risky
Justification for the sale at the lower price states, “With the relatively small difference of £4,000 between the second highest cash offer of £172,000 and the highest offer of £176,000 subject to a mortgage and survey, the lower cash offer is considered much less risky and is therefore recommended for approval.”
