Year 7 students at Ryde Academy learnt about the exciting potential real-world applications of science, maths and engineering last week as the BAE Systems Schools Roadshow visited the Academy.
At Ryde Academy the Roadshow was performed to 200 students in Year 7. The students were enthralled by the range of mathematics, science and technology involved in engineering.
They were particularly impressed by the jacket covered in lights which were powered by one of our students riding a bike!
“This was a great opportunity for students to see the practical connections between mathematics, science and technology and some have said it has inspired them to investigate a career in engineering.”
