Pupils put their baking skills to the test for Macmillan Coffee Morning

Thanks to Diana for this latest news from Carisbrooke College. Ed

Twenty of our KS3 students stayed after school to bake cakes over a period of three evenings leading up to our MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September.

They all demonstrated terrific enthusiasm and teamwork as they made Victoria sponges, flapjacks, shortbread, fairy cakes, rice crispy cakes and rocky road crunch bars. The cakes were too tempting to resist as parents, staff and students came and purchased a cake and coffee on Friday morning.

Every penny counts
Our House Captains also raised money by collecting loose change after lunch for the four days leading up to the Coffee Morning and Demeter House were the winners collecting £38.66 in loose change.

An amazing £320 was raised. Thank you for all who supported the event.
