Our friends over at Red Funnel have just launched an exciting new competition to find the hottest talent in the South.
If you’ve got what it takes, be it in music, comedy, magic or anything at all – so long as it is suitable for a family audience, the Red Hot Talent team want to hear from you.
And you could win a whopping £1,000 in the process.
Not only that, but over the busy summer period, when the ferries are jam packed with holiday makers (and talent spotters???) you’ll get to perform on Red Funnel’s vehicle ferries as well as in the terminals. Opening your talent up to a whole new audience.
You’ve got to be over 16 to enter the comp, and will need to get a mate to film you doing whatever you do best.
Once you’ve got a two minute video ready, head over to the official Red Hot Talent competition Web site, complete the application form available and upload your video (not more than 2 minutes).
The detail
All entries must be received by 18 May when they will be whittled down to a final selection. These films will be available for the public to view online and to place their votes from 21 to 28 May on the Southern Daily Echo and Isle of Wight County Press Web sites.
The top performers will then be invited to perform live at one of two heats either in Southampton on 1 June, or in Newport, Isle of Wight on 2 June, with the grand finale held in Southampton on Friday 5 June.
