Red Osprey on the water by Paul Brown

Red Osprey hull inspection leads to Red Funnel timetable changes for early May

Red Funnel has announced it will be continuing to operate its winter timetable into the first few days of May, and will now introduce its summer timetable from Friday 5th May.

The timetable change is necessary to allow sufficient time to complete additional steelwork which is required following Red Osprey’s annual out of water hull inspection.

Timetable changes
The operator has announced changes to its timetable as follows:

  • 28th April to 4th May –  winter timetable
  • 5th May to 31st Oct – summer timetable

To assist with additional traffic over the bank holiday weekend Red Funnel also be adding an extra round trip on its vehicle ferry service on Friday 28th April, departing from Southampton at 22:30 and from East Cowes at 23:55

Customers with affected bookings (28th April – 4th May) will be contacted by email if their sailing time has changed. To ensure continuity for essential freight and free more space on its vehicle ferries, Red Funnel will also operate additional Red Kestrel freight ferry sailings on key dates in April.
