Red Bull TV will be broadcasting live from Bestival later this week and have today released a video shot on the Isle of Wight earlier this summer.
The 11 minute film, sections of which are intended to be played in between the live coverage, is a fantastic promotional video for the Island.
It features a range of creative talent, from food producers to makers, from musicians to a hipster barber, a kite surfer fanatic, music producer, a paddle-boarding yoga teacher, the list goes on.
Not surprisingly the footage opens with a snippet from Bestival head honcho himself, Rob da Bank.
Shot by production company Hello Charlie, the footage does a stunning job of showing off the Island’s outstanding natural beauty and creative talent.
And all of the wonderful things
The team from Hello Charlie told OnTheWight that everyone they’d had met had been incredibly friendly, welcoming and also given them a huge list of things that were wonderful about the Island. He added that lot of their early research was done with the help of the OnTheWight site.
The difficulty for the production company was being on a tight schedule and struggling to get everything in.
We reckon they’ve done a great job and are sure all those who feature (see the list below) are pretty chuffed at being kept in the edit.
- Michael and David Champion, CHAMPS
- Skateboarding hero from Wight Trash, John Cattle
- Kite surfer extraordinaire, Kian Forster
- Paddle-boarding yoga teacher, Kat Harding
- Watersports loving yoga instructor, Emily Hardy
- The lovely Jaime and Oli Bennett from Tansy’s Pantry
- Jim Homes, Studio Humbug
- Rosie and Calvin from artisan street food creators, The Ralvins
- Milly Sanders from the Gambling Man Barbers
- Singer/songwriter, Lauren Hibberd
- Dan Read from Westridge Skip Hire
- Musician and promoter, Oliver Rivers
- Master of circus skills, Natalie ‘Splatt’ Woods
We know RedBull shot footage with many others across the Island, so more clips may be forthcoming.
