Rescued Plants and Trees Settling In Well at Freshwater Court

Rescued Plants and Trees Settling In Well at Freshwater CourtRegular readers of VentnorBlog will remember that last month Chris Jarman from Freshwater Court and a merry band of volunteers set about rescuing some rare plants and trees that were due to be removed from Sandalwood, a property in Freshwater.

The new owners of Sandalwood were unable to maintain the extensive range of shrubs, trees and plants and were planning o have them removed and the area returned to a more manageable simple lawn.

Back in early December, Chris and volunteers carefully removed the plants and transferred them up to Freshwater Court where they are now replanted and settling in well.

We’re sure you’ll all agree that this is a great example of conservation of rare plants that had been lovingly planned and planted by Sandalwood’s previous owner, which can now live on at Freshwater Court.

Well done to everyone involved.
