Revised plans for the former Polars Care Home site in Newport resubmitted

Plans for the former Polars Care Home site in Newport have been revised and resubmitted to the Isle of Wight council planning department for consideration.

Previous plans for the construction of a 67 bedroom care home and 12 dwellings, were granted in April 2015. The revised plans, originally submitted in 2022, include a mixed residential scheme comprising 20 units of specialised supported living units to accommodate 24 persons (including apartments, shared spaces and bungalows), along with 24 open market residential dwellings.

The new plans reveal some minor revised designs in relation to terrace decking on some properties and retention of trees to provide boundary screening.
