RIBA Wight New Island Architecture

Those who know me, will know that I love architecture, so you can imagine how excited I am about the imminent arrival at Quay Arts of the “RIBA Wight new island architecture” exhibition.

Brading Roman VillaIt’s a multimedia exhibition, celebrating quality architectural design on our fair Isle.

With architects working mainly in the private sector, it is a design practice very rarely viewed in detail by the public. This exhibition is an opportunity to observe presentations made by ten architectural companies displaying works of design that deal with sustainability, conservation, utilization of space and renovation. There will be an opportunity to discuss views and ask questions at an information point manned by an architect within the gallery.

The photographs, drawings, models, projections and installations on display are examples of already constructed projects as well as examples of innovative design which may one day change the architectural landscape of the Isle of Wight.
