Thanks to VB readers, George and Garth who, as we tweeted earlier, sent us details of a crash on Forest Road.
The fire service say they received a call at 11.26am to attend an incident 100m before the Albany Garden Centre on Forest Road, Newport.
The incident involved two vehicles and an elderly gentleman was taken by ambulance to hospital.
The fire service confirm that the road is now clear.
