Huge congratulations are in order for Isle of Wight Chef, Robert Thompson MBE, who last night brought home the award for Best UK Chef in the 2025 British Restaurant Awards.
Robert was in the shortlist alongside household names such as Gordon Ramsay, marking a significant moment for the Island’s culinary scene.

However, it’s not the first time our Rob has flown the flag for the Isle of Wight.
In 2024, his Ryde-based restaurant, RT Grill and Cafe, received the award for “Best New Restaurant in the UK”.
